Monome rebuild

During my recent visit to the CeC festival, I met Abhinay Khoparzi and he showed me a rebuild of Monome music controllers. I just fell in love with these. I am now planning to build my own using the Arduino platform. The Monome website shows various applications, other than generating/controlling music. I have some applications of my own in mind, such as a controller for the ceiling lights I am planning to install in my office or RSS feed display.
